Activated Learning blends two core concepts: formative assessments & certainty based learning. Questions and answers are given in a loop where learners respond with answers and their associated certainty levels for each question. Multiple sessions of learning focus primarily on the areas they are weakest in, hence eliminating redundancy. By combining what learner actually knows and how well they think know it, we have better insight into creating true mastery learning.
